Last updated: July 14, 2026
⚠️ LEGAL REVIEW PENDING — These rules are a draft placeholder for the POC phase. Official rules must be reviewed by qualified sweepstakes legal counsel before any real-money draws go live. Do not rely on this document for legal compliance.
1. Sponsor
Shop Shop Freebie ("Sponsor", "we", "us"). Contact: [address to be added].
2. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Void where prohibited. Employees of Sponsor and their immediate family members are not eligible.
Residents of certain states may be subject to additional requirements or restrictions. See Section 10 for state-specific information.
3. No Purchase Necessary / Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE)
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. To enter without making a purchase, visit /enter and complete the free entry form. Free entries receive the same draw odds and prize eligibility as purchase-based entries.
One (1) free entry per person per day via the alternate method of entry.
4. How to Enter via Purchase
To enter via purchase: (1) Install the Shop Shop Freebie Chrome extension; (2) Create a free account; (3) Visit an eligible retailer's checkout page; (4) Click "Activate & Shop!" in the extension before completing your purchase; (5) Complete your purchase normally.
One (1) entry per eligible purchase transaction. Entry is registered upon purchase confirmation.
5. Draw Mechanics
Each eligible entry triggers an instant independent draw. The draw uses a cryptographically secure random number generator (CSPRNG). The currently active prize tiers and probabilities are as follows:
| Tier | Prize | Probability |
|---|---|---|
| No Win | — | 86% |
| Micro Win | 0.25× prize pool | 8% |
| Standard Win | 1× prize pool | 4% |
| Enhanced Win | 20× prize pool | 2% |
Odds shown reflect the currently active draw configuration and update automatically when the configuration changes.
The "prize pool" is calculated as the net affiliate commission received for the purchase, minus a house margin. See our How It Works page for a detailed example.
6. Prizes & Payouts
Cash prizes are paid via PayPal to the email address registered in the winner's account. Winners must have a valid PayPal account to receive payment. Payouts are subject to a ninety (90) day verification hold from the date of the winning draw.
Prizes are subject to applicable federal, state, and local taxes. Winners receiving cumulative prizes of $600 or more in a calendar year will receive an IRS Form 1099-MISC. Winners are solely responsible for all taxes.
Unclaimed prizes expire ninety (90) days after the payout is approved.
7. Winner Verification
Winners may be required to provide proof of identity, age, and eligibility before receiving prizes. Sponsor reserves the right to verify all entries and disqualify any entry that Sponsor believes, in its sole discretion, to be fraudulent.
8. Fraud & Abuse
Any attempt to enter using multiple accounts, false identities, automated means, or any other fraudulent method will result in disqualification and forfeiture of all prizes. Sponsor reserves the right to ban accounts for abuse.
9. Limitation of Liability
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor from any liability, loss, or damage arising from participation in the sweepstakes or acceptance of a prize. Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures, incorrect or inaccurate information, or any other errors.
10. State Restrictions
Residents of Florida and New York: Registration and bonding may be required for prizes exceeding $5,000. Jackpot tier prizes may not be available to residents of these states until applicable registration is complete.
